Yeah how can you "mistakenly" burn korans and piss on corpses? Seriously?

Its just more provoking of the muslims isnt it . . . .

No charges for the soldiers that pissed on corpses

It was a stupid thing to do but they should have been charged IMO

As to burning the koran, not only do I think it should not carry any sort of punishment, I feel it is a legally protected act, under American law.

After all, the penalty for burning the koran, should carry no different a charge than burning war and peace, or atlas shrugs, or a hello kitty coloring book, or the US Flag.

Also, WTF would YOU charge them with Spot? Offending Muslims? Desecrating a holy book?

Now, the pissing on the dead, while I could care less, as I feel the body is simply an empty shell, I could accept the charge of abuse of a corpse, kinda of along the same lines as charges for sex with a dead body.

when you are in someone elses country you obey their customs and laws. If not you are just provoking them and not trying to have any kind of peace. How would you feel if it was a yank flag that was burned?

So, if you were in another country, you would be ok for stoning a woman to death for being outside w/o her male owner.

After all, you think its correct to "you obey their customs and laws"

Nice to know

Good grief. Being in obeyance of laws and enforcing laws are light years apart.

Both obeyance and enforcing would end in the same result, when the law says someone should be killed for an act.

Not only do I think it would be Ok, I deem it a protected right under Freedom of Speech, and the US Supreme Court has ruled the same way.

There should not be any difference between the penalty of for burning War and Peace,as there would be for burning the Bible or Koran. That is the essence of Freedom of Religion, an individual cannot be forced to adhere to religious laws. To force someone to respect the Islamic laws on blasphemy against their will, is in direct violation of freedom of religion, not only as defined by the US, but defined by the UN as well.

I wouldn't give a crap if anyone was offended, freedom of speech is to protect the acts others deem offensive, not those that everyone agrees with.

As this image shows, I deem BOTH of these individuals expressing their protected Freedom of Speech rights.

the thing is that when you are in someone elses country you should try not to greatly offend them. Common sense. What if a non-american burned an american flag publicly in america?

Attitudes like that, are what allow all the human rights atrocities against women around the world to flourish...

Honor killing.. its all good.. its their culture..

Woman stoned to death for being outside w/o an owner.. shouldnt stand against it, after all, dont want to be rude.

Standing by, and letting atrocities occur, just so you can be polite, is the same sort of BS mindset the Nazi guards used, (just doing what I was told) to try and excuse their standing aside and letting the Holocaust to carry on.

All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing

 happens all the time... doesnt even make the news...

Did you miss the part where I stated, several times, it was a protected right in the US?
